Biography
Mary Thompson is an Associate Professor of English and Coordinator of the Women's and Gender Studies Program at James Madison University. She teaches courses in women's literature, African American literature, and feminist theory. Her research interests include literary and popular representations of reproductive justice issues. She served for several years as an abortion patient advocate at private clinics and Planned Parenthood.
